Dublin Kia dealership lands new owner

Celebration Kia arrived in Columbus last summer after acquiring the former Byers Kia at 5342 Columbus Pike in Lewis Center. Owners Bill Doraty, Stephanie Doraty and Jeff Johnson now have added a second local kia dealership.

The group has acquired the former Crown Kia in Dublin at 5105 Post Road for an undisclosed sum. It now is operating as Celebration Kia of Dublin.

“Columbus is an excellent market,” Johnson said. “It’s one of the few cities in the state with positive population growth and it’s a great foundation for us to expand the brand.”

The group has a 20 year history with Kia, having previously owned stores in Cleveland and Michigan. They also owned Mitsubishi dealerships in Florida at one point. Their current holdings are those two Columbus-area Kia dealerships.
