First entry into Midwest for Macon, Ga.-based family-owned auto group.
Bob Morris, Tim Lamb Group Director Southeast Region, has brokered a seven-dealership sale between Mike Raisor Automotive Group and Five Star Auto Group in Lafayette, Ind. The newly acquired dealerships for Five Star will be rebranded as Lafayette Cadillac, Lafayette Buick GMC, Lafayette Volkswagen, Audi Lafayette, Mercedes-Benz of Lafayette, Lafayette Ford, and Lafayette Lincoln. All current personnel are being offered employment.
Based in Macon, Ga., the Five Star Automotive Group has been family-owned and operated since 1986. Including the Raisor acquisitions, Five Star now operates a total of 26 dealerships in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee and Indiana. The seven new dealerships mark Five Star's first move into the Midwest.
Since joining Tim Lamb Group in 2007, Morris has sold over $8 billion in dealership transactions and has been at the top of the chart in stores sold and networks made. His contacts not only include the top public groups but also the big “quiet” companies, including Wall Street and family office options.
