Tim Lamb | PresidentWith the strength of a 30-year career in both retail and auto industry management, Tim was a natural to start an auto dealership sales and acquisitions business with a new approach that has proven to be perfect for our times. Tim was raised in a family dealership business gaining experience in every department. That was followed by a respected career in General Motors working up the ranks from District Sales & Service management, Team Manager, Direct Marketing Manager, Assistant Zone Manager to Zone Manager.


Tim is a seasoned professional of financial analysis of auto dealerships, market analysis and dealership buy-sell negotiation with market experience that covers 26 states. Extensively trained with years of applied practice, Tim is building a business on honesty, integrity and trust. He has hand picked his team of regional directors and plays a pivotal role in every buy-sell and dealer network initiative.

Kirk Rimsnider | Director - West RegionKirk has over 30 years experience as a General Motors executive and owner/operator. He joined the Tim Lamb Group in August of 2007. Kirk has the complete background of dealership operations and network planning to provide the optimum advice on buying and selling dealerships. His network with both Wholesale and Retail provide solutions to all opportunities.

Experience includes owner/operator of Buick Pontiac GMC Ventura, CA, Regional Divisional Marketing Manager for Buick, Pontiac, and GMC Truck. Director of Cadillac Division-Japan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Isuzu Motors- Japan, Zone Manager Oldsmobile Division - Los Angeles, District Manager in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Indianapolis and Philadelphia.

 

MJ Vaughn | Director - West Region

MJ VaugnMJ  has over 11 years experience as a district manager and car distributor with General Motors and 31 years as a dealer /owner/operator. He joined the Tim Lamb Group in February 2010. MJ has an extensive background in analyzing various kinds of dealership operations (small, large, urban, suburban, family) in several states and has purchased, or sold, 11 franchises of his own over the years. This background provides a unique insight into the sale, or acquisition, of a dealership for his clients.

 

Other experience includes having worked within four successful California based dealer groups: Lucas Dealership Group, Ted Stevens Car Company, Price Automotive and Guy Schmidt Automotive Group. His dealer-operator experience has been with Acura, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick and GMC.

jim-townsleyJim has had the pleasure to work with thousand of dealers across the country during his Sales and Marketing career with General Motors.  Most of his time has been invested in the field working with dealers in a variety of capacities including sales, service, business management and dealer development.  Jim has developed trusted relationships with dealers over those 32 years and utilizes his knowledge of dealership operations and his understanding of a dealer’s priorities to collaboratively match a buyer and seller together.  He recently obtained his masters certification in Project Management which, combined with his extensive dealer business background provides a unique talent in the field of automotive acquisitions.

When leaving GM to pursue his next career, Jim was asked how he might make the transition from the strategic culture of a large company.  He said that “strategy is good, but I’m tactical and proud of it”, and looking forward to continuing successful working relationships with dealers as they make decisions to exit or expand their automotive interests.

Bob Morris | Director - Southeast RegionBob has an incredible career in the auto dealership business. His experience, covering four decades, adds unmatched insight to the sale or acquisition of a dealership. Along with Motors Holding, Bob bought his first store in 1979 and his sons still operate at the same location under their own banner.

Experience includes 13 years as a general manager of a high-volume GM store, 23 years growing a family dealership business to employ 400 people at 6 locations retailing 2,500 new and 3,500 used per year, past Chairman of the National Dealer Council Pontiac-GMC and former owner-operator of a NASCAR CUP team.
